Ethiopian football fans accuse coaches of partiality, selfishness, and corruption.
Today’s Africa Cup of Nations match between Ethiopia and Cameroon revealed Ethiopia’s coach’s favoritism and the blacklisting of one of their top midfielders, Gattouch Panom.
According to their admirers, Ethiopia should have performed better than Cameroon, but the bias in Ethiopia Football Leadership rendered everyone dumbfounded.
Gattouch Panom was intended to play since day one and today as well, but corruption in Ethiopia Football’s leadership prevented him from doing so.
“Gattouch Panom is the best player and if he was permitted to play, he would have control the center, since he is past, consistent, and has a skills,” Zerawun stated angrily, but I would blame Football Leadership.
Mesfin, an Ethiopian supporter, stated that Gattouch Panom was kept on the bench because the Leadership wanted their substandard players to be seen by European coaches who were watching the game.
Ethiopian fans are outraged, and they are blaming the Ethiopia Football Federation.
